Formex: Meet our designers (part 1)
The most exciting and inspiring part of Formex, is always Young Designers. This is an area where new designers get a chance to showcase their work, some in production and some still as prototypes.
This year, 7 of our designers were part of the Young Designer area, and we are really proud to work with all of them!
E.Leijon creates the most magical ceramics, all inspired by the fragile beauty in nature. The design duo Butler/Lindgård are mostly working with textiles, and with patterns that wants to explore our bodies in different ways. They are also all handprinted in Malmö where they have their studio.
Talented photographer Details by M showed her print collection, which is now also includes cushion covers. Matilda Svensson uses watercolours to create her beautiful art. The new collection includes cushion covers and cutting boards – love the colours for spring!
Designer Lykalia K made a great impact during last Formex, when she showed her diamond shaped jewellery boxes and vases in wood and gold plating for the first time. I suspect that the bottle tops will be just as talked about and probable a bestseller once we get them in stock in our store!
Form – a nomad design studio is collaborating with local craftsmen in Vietnam to create her collection. We just love these bike baskets, both beautiful and smart! The jewellery from Langaeble Stockholm is, as usual, smashing in it’s simplicity.
Stay tuned for more sneak peaks from our designers at Formex…
